The following message was posted on their website by our Partner Competition AirOShoot:
Dear Athletes, Coaches and friends of AirOShoot,
As promised, we are publishing an update with regards to the AirOShoot Superfinal planned for the 14 and 15 November 2020 in Herent, Belgium.
The Coronavirus pandemic has caused widespread cancellations of sporting events. Also, the future seems uncertain: some European countries have started to relax their lockdown rules, whilst others are potentially planning a further full or partial lockdown and might or might not have quarantine rules for in and/or outgoing travellers.
Given these uncertainties and the implication for athletes and their travel plans as well as our preparation effort and commitments, it seems prudent to cancel the AirOShoot Superfinal that was planned for the 14 and 15 November 2020 in Herent, Belgium. We do this with great reluctance and pain in our hearts.
Given the feedback we have had since the first AirOShoot Superfinal and the early entries received for the 2020 final, we do, however, want to firmly commit to an AirOShoot Superfinal to be held in November 2021.
Given the recent cancellations of the partner competitions, we are looking how to deal with the qualification rules for the 2021 AirOShoot Superfinal, but much will depend on which competitions will go ahead. We will keep you updated on our thoughts via email, our website and social media.
Thank you for your understanding.
